I'm so Barking Happy!

Yeah Dogs! I can't believe we made it to Grandma's and Grandpa's in Amityville NY.

I am so barkin' happy, I can't stop wagging my tail. I woof New York! I love the trees and the grass and the weather is right up my alley. The only thing that is missing right now are my girls Kayla and Brianna. I think they are at Camp.

Today was GRReat! I had a nice night's sleep in my Motel 6 room in Harrisburg, PA. I love this pet friendly hotel. It was nice to know that they left the light on for us everywhere we went. I would stay there every night, but I really missed Kayla and Brianna. I wanted to get to New York fast.

Kim and Cousin Barbara kept telling me that we were going to be in New York soon. I wasn't sure I could trust them. They have been saying this for the last 3 days. Sitting in the van was about as fun as chasing my tail.

I had my B's take a photo in front of my favorite pet friendly motel sign, and then we ran to the car for the last leg of the trip.

Cousin Barbara did all the driving...she said she didn't need the GPS. She knew this neck of the woods. In less than 3 hours we rode through Pennsylvania, then New Jersey and then Staten Island.

I met Aunt Jean at her house in Staten Island. She gave me a cookie and we were best friends.

Then we dropped Cousin Barbara off at her house. Then Kim and I headed to Long Island.

And now we are HERE!!! Woof Woof....

Well Dogs, this leg of my trip is over...but in six weeks, Kim and I have to drive back to Arizona...DOGONEIT!!! Grandpa is going to be riding with us. I hope he drives faster than my two B's.

Anyway Dogs...I gotta go. My girls Kayla and Brianna and cousin's Brittany and Zachary are going to be home from camp soon. Smell you later!

Woof Woof,
Your Boy Brutus.

PS: Dogs...I'm begging you. Don't forget about my exclusive merchandise...Its a long ride back to Arizona and I want to have a good burger fund going before I leave. Click here to get yours today!

Are we there YET???

DOGS. You know I love Motel 6. And I am very happy right now to be in my room in Harrisburg, PA. But I got to tell you something. I hate this trip, and I am sick of the back of this darn van. We went over 650 miles and through 5 states today. How long is this country??? I want to see Kayla and Brianna and Grandma and Grandpa NOW.

My B's were off the leash today. First they left the map in F'ing Effingham and we had to stop at Walmart to get a new one. Then they almost ran out of gas in West Virginia, but not before getting lost in West Virginia, looking for gas. Seriously, they have a brand new map, and two GPS navigation systems, and supposedly master's degrees. We were only supposed to be in West Virginia for 10 minutes...and we were there for 30. Grrrr. And don't ask me what I ate today..because they didn't feed me until we got to the room. I practically had to beg Kim to get me a burger.

We drove through fog and four tunnels that went through four mountains in Pennsylvania. I only know this because my B's kept calling me to look, and all I would do is raise my eyebrow. I'm done with this ride. Next time they call my name I'm going to open up a can of Woof Ass on them.

Dogs, I'm taking matters into my own paws. I know I have fans out there, and I need your help. Please check out my store and buy my exclusive merchandise. Proceeds will go to my burger fund. I beg you... please help.

Tomorrow should be my last day on the road. Kayla and Brianna...be on the look out for grandma's mini-van with a bug-covered car top carrier. I can't wait to give you a big sloppy kiss.

And Dogs...please buy my merchandise.

Woof Woof,
Your Boy Brutus.

Where the "F" is Effingham?

If you don't know where Effingham is, look it up on a map! Its in Illinois. That's where we are tonight. If you are wondering who won the argument on the driving distances, it was Kim, that's why we are in Effingham. She said she wanted more than 4 hours sleep tonight. We are staying in my favorite pet friendly hotel, Motel 6. I give this joint 4 paws up.

Anyway, I woke up bright and early. Kim took me out for a walk and I took a well deserved leak. In case you are keeping track, it had been 24 hours since my last pee. I had such a comfortable sleep in the Elk City Motel 6, everything came out just fine.

The girls got ready, and then Cousin Barbara took on the morning drive (she was slacking yesterday and poor Kim drove over 500 miles).

First we drove Oklahoma which was really boring. And then through Missouri, which was even more boring. We made a quick pitstop for some duct tape to secure the latch on the car carrier. Cousin Barbara and Kim were tired of reaching up through the sun roof to fix it every 10 miles. I supervised from inside.

We stopped for "lunch" at Steak and Shake. Those B's ate their steak burgers, fries and shakes right in front of me, and didn't give me a thing.

The 700 mile ride was mostly uneventful, the girls took pictures of funny signs, I gave some motorcycle drives a piece of my mind (sometimes I wish I had hands so I could flip off these jerks that get too close to my ride).

Kim took over the driving after lunch, and thing were going just fine, until the check engine light went off. She called her dad, and who said, "what do you want me to do about it?" and then told her to pull over and let the car cool down. We stopped at a rest stop for 20 minutes and I gave some guy and his dog the rest of my mind. I'm like, "That's right, poochie, make my day. You are in Brutus' yard now. " You should have seen them run to their car.

We made our last stop for gas in St. Louis and Kim had a religious dilemma. She found Jesus (on the ground) and didn't know what to do with him, Cousin Barbara was going to take him with us, but decided it was better to leave him so he could to watch over the weary travelers at the Circle K.

Mostly, I just napped in the back and wondered when I was going to get something to eat.

We got to our room at the Motel 6 around 8pm. I was happy to get out of that car. I love this place.

Cousin Barbara ran out to Wendy's for burgers. Surprise, surprise, she came back with 2 for me. Woof, Woof. Then Kim took me for a walk and I did a number #2. Yeahhhh Boy.

The girls and I played a little dress up (like my shirt?), and now I am going to sleep.

We have a big day tomorrow, I hear Pennsylvania is our next Motel 6 rest. Just thinking about staying there makes my tail wag.

Smell you later Dogs.

Woof Woof,
Your boy Brutus.

PS- Special Bark out to my favorite girls Kayla and Brianna. See you soon.

Give me a "P"

Today was a long day. Cousin Barbara would not let us stop driving until we got to Elk City, Oklahoma. We did over 800 miles through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. I just sat in the back of the van and relaxed. That's the way I roll.

My girls sang with the radio, laughed and took pictures along the way. We stopped 3 times for me to take a leak, but I got stage fright. No poop, no pee.

Kim stopped at McDonalds. I waited all nice in the car with Cousin Barbara, and all she gave me was a friggin french fry. Look at me...do I look like the type to be satisfied with one or two french fries? I'm like, "Hey...Where's the love??? "

Then, my two B's stopped at the Big Texan, where they advertised a Free 72 oz steak if you could eat it in an hour. They say a tiger ate it in 9 seconds. I could beat that cat's record. Anyway, I sat in the car nice and quiet while they stuffed their faces with BBQ, mashed potatoes with gravy, and coleslaw. And all they brought me was a Tshirt. (I'm sure Cousin Barbara will have a picture of me wearing it tomorrow. )

Anyway, that's all from me today...it time for bed with my two ladies. We are staying at the world famous, pet friendly, Elk City Motel 6. This room much better than the vet's office.

We leave at 8am....Barbara's shooting for Ohio...Kim's not so ambitious. We will see who wins.

Woof Woof... Your boy, Brutus

My adventure begins...

I can't believe that Kim is taking me cross country. I am such a lucky bastard.

Cousin Barbara flew in to make the ride with us. Kim promised her lots of BBQ.

This is a big trip for me. I'm 56 years old ( 8 in people years), and I've never even been out of the state. Every time I get in the car, we end up at the vet's office. This trip is going to be different. We are driving almost 3000 miles to Grandma and Grandpa's house in NYC. Kayla and Brianna will be waiting for us to arrive.

We leave tomorrow at 8:00 am.

See you on the highway! Woof Woof!
